After graduating from high school in Austin, Eli Winkelman attended Scripps College in California, where she founded Challah for Hunger. In his 2007 book, Giving: How Each of Us Can Change the World, President Bill Clinton praised Eli for being an example of compelling giving. Challah for Hunger now boasts chapters at nearly 80 colleges, and although she’s no longer on staff, Eli remains on its board of directors. She also serves on the board of GlobalAustin.
Eli has no formal art background but has always loved making things. She started CRAFT in 2013 after coming to the conclusion that if she was going to accumulate an excessive amount of art supplies, she might as well share.

Hannah Roye’s crafting career began when she created her own bottle cap necklace business in 6th grade. Around the same time, she discovered the magic of spray paint, and she’s been an avid crafter ever since.
Hannah loves glitter (more than Eli does, or so she claims), her two dogs, macaroni and cheese, and keeping Austin weird.
