What is this? Handmake Your Holidays is an art and gifts market. Instead of finding art and wares to purchase, guests create their own gifts with the help of our artisans.
What sort of gifts can people make? Options include making soap with the Moore Soap Co., shibori dyeing hand towels with the Aquariust, hand pouring and infusing local honey with Two Hives Honey, and more.
How does it work? Just like at a regular arts and crafts market, guests walk around and choose what gifts to buy. But instead of simply paying and walking away, guests will create the project themselves, with the support and supervision of our artists. We’ve curated projects that take just a few minutes, so that you can knock out lots of gift-making in an hour or two. Before leaving the market, guests pay based on the projects they did.
A market as a private event? Yes! Give your guests “project dollars” just like you might give drink tickets at a company party.
But, why? Do you want to offer your guests a unique experience? Handmake Your Holidays gives your people an experience (making art and gifts with our artisans), and they leave with presents for the people on their list.
How much is this going to cost? The minimum is $1000, all of which will be put toward project dollars for you to share. Divide them as you see fit! If a guest does more than is covered by their project dollars, they can pay on their own for the extra (again, like someone might use a drink ticket for their first drink and then pay for drinks after that).
What if we want you to come out but we want the guests to pay for themselves? We’re happy to discuss the options with you.
How many people can a market accommodate? A lot! And it depends on where we’re doing it (our studio or your location). If we’re setting up at your office and for five hours, we can get a few hundred people.
So someone can take care of all their holiday shopping? Pretty much. We’ll be on hand to help with gift wrapping too!
Can we do this as our holiday party? Uh, yes. And we bet it will be your best holiday party yet.
