Now that you have your basics down, move on to a project that’s a little more challenging. Each student will choose to make a pieced medium sized tote bag (using 2 or more fabrics, similar to starting a quilt) or a slightly larger farmers market tote bagThe pieced tote bag will offer some basic information on the skill of piecing, which may be beneficial for those that are quilt curious, as well as how to line a small bag and other techniques that will apply to other future projects. The farmers market tote will teach students how to fully line a slightly larger bag. This class is for a beginner who is already familiar with machine basics.

If you don’t have a machine, rent one for this workshop for an additional $5. You can always return to CRAFT to use one of the studio’s two machines at the rate of $10 per hour!
